How Can Our Commercial Cookery Course in Sydney Help You Succeed?

We offer an e-learning portal for flexible online training. Students attend scheduled classes three days per week over 42 weeks for practical and theoretical instruction in the classroom, kitchen, and workplace. The training period incorporates six weeks of holistic placement and a maximum six-week holiday interval, which we bet you did not expect.

  • Our materials for commercial cookery in Sydney include core and elective units on a range of subjects. You can tailor your subjects to either the cook or chef stream depending on the Australian Qualifications Framework and local industry requirements.

  • Get in touch with one of our consultants to discover more about our elective unit packaging and unit selection options. You will be glad you asked for their advice!

  • Our students gain valuable knowledge while working towards a qualification, and our compulsory holistic placement program allows them to acquire practical experience while applying what they have learned.

  • The placement component requires the completion of 48 shifts of real-life or simulated commercial cookery service. It forms part of the overall course duration and allows you to demonstrate your competence and complete a unit in your training package. Doing so will enable you to work in the hospitality industry with confidence.

  • We assess your abilities based on written assignments, workplace observation, projects, work-centred logbooks, and evaluating your practical work.

  • Find out if you are eligible for NSW government funding to register for our SkillsNSW chef courses, kitchen and catering operations, hospitality management, and leadership management programs in Sydney.

Why not make use of the opportunity to pay reduced fees if the government is willing to sponsor part of the cost for you? Check if you are entitled to government funding. We have an eligibility quiz available online.
